PRAYERS FOR THE ROSARY

Apostle’s Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilot,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
He descended into hell;
on the third day He rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of God, the Father almighty;
from there He will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy Catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen.

Fatima Prayer
O my Jesus, forgive us our sins,
save us from the fires of hell,
and lead all souls to heaven,
especially those in most need of Thy mercy.
Amen.

Glory Be
Glory be to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be.
Amen.

Hail Holy Queen
Hail Holy Queen, mother of God,
our life, our sweetness, and our hope.
To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve.
To thee do we send up our sighs,<
mourning and weeping in the vale of tears.

Turn then, most gracious advocate,
thine eyes of mercy toward us.
And after this, our exile, show unto us
the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
Pray for us, O holy Mother of God,
that we may be made worthy,
of the promises of Christ.
Amen.

Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with you!
Blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

O God, Whose
O God, Whose only-begotten Son
by His life, death, and resurrection,
has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life,
grant, we beseech Thee,
that by meditating upon these mysteries,
of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary,
we may imitate what they contain
and obtain what they promise,
through the same Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Our Father
Our Father who are in heaven,
hallowed by Thy name;
Thy kingdom come;
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us each day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS PRAYERS

Queen of the Knights
Our Lady, “Queen of the Knights”,
bless all the activities of our Order.
Keep us true to the pledge to extend
the Kingship of thy Divine Son on earth.

Through thine intercession, win for us the grace
ever to exemplify in our public and private lives,
the virtues which should characterize those
specially dedicated to the service of the heavenly court.

Make us always aware that as your Knights,
we are constantly observed,
our faith judged and our order appreciated.

Accept, O Mary, this renewed pledge of fidelity and
devotion of thy servants, the Knights of Columbus.
Amen.

Prayer for the Canonization of Fr. Michael McGivney
God, our Father, protector of the poor
and Defender of the widow and orphan,
you called your priest, Father Michael J. McGivney,
to be an apostle of Christian family life
and to lead the young to the generous service of their neighbor.

Through the example of his life and virtue
may we follow your Son, Jesus Christ, more closely,
fulfilling His commandment of charity
and building up His Body which is the Church.

Let the inspiration of your servant
prompt us to greater confidence in your love
so that we may continue his work
of caring for the needy and the outcast.

We humbly ask that you glorify your servant
Father Michael J. McGivney on earth
according to the design of your holy will.

Through his intercession, grant the favor I now present
(here make your request.)
Through Christ our Lord,
Amen.

St. Michael Prayer
Saint Michael, the Archangel,
defend us in battle; be our defense
against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
My God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do you, O prince of heavenly host,
by the power of God, thrust into hell
Satan and the other evil spirits who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.

Come Holy Spirt
Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful
And kindle in them the fire of your love.
Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created.

O God who by the light of the Holy Spirit,
Did instruct the hearts of the faithful,
Grant that by the same Holy Spirit
We may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations,
Through Christ, Our Lord,
Amen.

Memorare
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
That never was it known that
Anyone who fled to thy protection,
Implored thy help,
Or sought thy intercession,
Was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence,
I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins,
my Mother, to thee I come,
before thee I stand sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word incarnate!
despise not my petitions,
but in thy mercy, hear and answer me.
Amen.

Nicene Creed
I believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the only-begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
consubstantial with the Father.

Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
was incarnate of the Virgin Mary,
and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried,
and rose again on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son he is adored and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.
I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins,
and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come.
Amen.

Prayer for Our Nation
God our Father, Giver of life,
we entrust the United States of America to Your loving care.

You are the rock on which this nation was founded.
You alone are the true source of our cherished rights to life, liberty and
the pursuit of happiness.

Reclaim this land for Your glory and dwell among Your people.

Send Your Spirit to touch the hearts of our nation’s leaders.
Open their minds to the great worth of human life and the
responsibilities that accompany human freedom.
Remind Your people that true happiness is rooted in
seeking and doing Your will.

Through the intercession of Mary Immaculate, Patroness of our land,
grant us the courage to reject the “culture of death.”
Lead us into a new millennium of life.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Prayer for Renewal
Lord, we are your people, the sheep of your flock.
Heal the sheep who are wounded.
touch the sheep who are in pain,
clean the sheep who are soiled,
warm the lambs who are cold.

Help us to know the Father’s love
through Jesus the shepherd and through the Spirit.
Help us to lift up that love and show it all over this land.

Help us to build love on justice and justice on love.
Help us to believe mightily, hope joyfully, love divinely.
Lord, renew us that we may help renew the face of the earth.
Amen.
